Before tomorrow’s return to Austria, SV Guntamatic Ried won their last test match at the training camp in Belek, Turkey: Coach Christian Heinle’s team scored a 3-1 win against the Slovenian first division club NS Mura.
The Vikings got off to a dream start: after just 68 seconds, Denizcan Cosgun scored from the penalty area to make it 1-0. His shot was deflected decisively. The early lead took the pace out of the game: Ried didn’t allow anything defensively, but there was a lack of emphasis going forward. That only changed again after a good half hour: The Heinle-Elf became more dangerous offensively – Philipp Pomer, acting in a more offensive role, missed the great chance to make it 2-0 after the Slovenians lost the ball. Christoph Monschein (34′), Cosgun (37′) and Pomer (39′) had more half-chances.
Meet Kronberger and Mikic
At the break, Ried’s coach Heinle made four changes – the changes initially took the flow of the game away from the Upper Austrians: Mura tried from a distance, Ried goalie Samuel Sahin-Radlinger had to intervene for the first time. The Slovenians equalized in the 54th minute: after a short corner, a header landed in the goal.
Rieder were not impressed by this and were able to celebrate the lead again four minutes later: Luca Kronberger escaped when the Slovenian defense made a switch and remained ice cold in front of the goal. However, Leo Mikic scored the best goal of the day: the 25-year-old caught his heart in the 74th minute from 17 meters out and hit the right corner of the cross.
