In the summer, Inter Milan had to cope with several high-profile departures. Now the Nerazzurri are apparently targeting a trio.
The Italian champions Inter Milan are looking for reinforcements after notable departures last summer and apparently have a trio in their sights. As the Gazzetta dello Sport reported, the Nerazzurri have their eye on Luka Jovic (Real Madrid), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal FC) and Nahitan Nandez (Cagliari Calcio).
Jovic and Lacazette could strengthen the Italians offensive after the departure of top striker Romelu Lukaku. Inter signed Edin Dzeko as Lukaku’s successor back in the summer, but the 35-year-old cannot be a long-term solution despite having scored six goals in seven games.
Arsenal contract expires: Inter apparently keen on Alexandre Lacazette
For Jovic (contract until 2025) or Lacazette, however, you would have to dig deep into your pockets. The former Frankfurt’s annual salary in Madrid is said to be five million euros, while Lacazette is said to earn eleven million euros at Arsenal. The latter only has one contract with the Gunners until the end of the season.
The Milanese are said to have had talks with Nandez last summer before Denzel Dumfries succeeded Achraf Hakimi, who had migrated to PSG. Now Inter should make another attempt at the Uruguayan, which could represent a favorable addition to the right wing. The 25-year-old is tied to Cagliari until 2024.
