According to English media reports, Ralph Hasenhüttl is a candidate to succeed Frank Lampard as Everton coach. As Sky Sport reported on Wednesday, Marcelo Bielsa is still the first option for owner Farhad Moshiri. However, there are concerns that the eccentric Argentine is asking too high a salary for his coaching staff. Hasenhüttl is therefore just as much a candidate as ex-Burnley coach Sean Dyche.
Hasenhüttl was put on leave as Southampton coach at the beginning of November last year. The Styrian worked for the “Saints” for almost four years. Everton parted ways with Lampard on Monday. In 20 league games so far this season, the club from Liverpool is second to last in the table.
