Shortly before the break in the test match between SV Guntamatic Ried and SKN St. Pölten, it became dead quiet in the Ried Josko Arena: Only the screams of Ried goalie Samuel Sahin-Radlinger could be heard.
What happened in the 43rd minute? Ried’s David Ungar and St. Pölten’s Kévin Monzialo met in a duel, as a result of which the St. Pölten kicker unfortunately crashed into Sahin-Radlinger’s knee. The 30-year-old fell to the ground with a pained face, Ried masseur Reinhard Kopleder immediately ran onto the pitch.
The goalkeeper had to be carried off the field with a stretcher, a serious knee injury is suspected. However, there is no more precise diagnosis. Today, an MR examination in the hospital should provide information about the injury.
