Following an interview with Bobic with ARD reporter Uri Zahavi, there was a verbal derailment. Then Zahavi asked: “Can you understand that there is a trainer discussion from the outside?” Bobic replied briskly: “No.” Zahavi then thanked him. Bobic said “Please”, handed over the RBB microphone and then added: “If you ask again, you’ll get a scrub.”
On Monday, Bobic commented on the incident in the “Bild” newspaper: “I’m very sorry, I reacted too emotionally,” he said. His saying was “of course not meant like that”: “You shouldn’t overestimate that in football shortly after a game.”
