Ex-Blau-weiß-Coach takes over 1860 Munich

The table sixth in the German 3rd division parted ways with coach Michael Köllner after the 1:2 home defeat against Dynamo Dresden on Monday evening. Now, for the time being, the 51-year-old Günther Gorenzel, who has been working as sports director since February 2019, is to lead the club back to winning ways in a dual function. In 2017, Gorenzel was a coach at Austria’s second division club FC Blau-Weiss Linz, but was dismissed with an average of 0.88 points after 17 competitive games.

“We have intensively analyzed and discussed the overall development.
