The President of the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB), Gerhard Milletich, has resigned with immediate effect. The 66-year-old from Burgenland was recently criticized for an advertisement scandal. For Harald Bartl, sports editor of OÖN, it was “only a matter of time”.
“It is surprising that this moment has come. From a perspective, however, it was clear to every insider that it would happen,” says Bartl in an interview with OÖN TV.
