After a knee operation in December and shooting training just two weeks ago, Pidruchnyi celebrated his comeback in biathlon today and immediately took third place over the 10 kilometers. “My goal was a top ten finish, but the podium is a dream now. It is very important for me, my team and above all for my country. Two weeks ago one of my best friends died at the front. Rockets are falling on our country every day, so I want to send as many positive vibes to Ukraine as possible. I hope to be at the World Championships in Oberhof,” said the visibly moved Ukrainian.
