Alongside regular drivers Jack Miller and Brad Binder, he will be turning the throttle on the RC16 at the World Championship race in Jerez on April 30th. Pedrosa has been part of the KTM test team since 2019. The Spaniard has already won four Grands Prix at Jerez in his earlier career. In 2017, he claimed his 30th career MotoGP victory (53rd in the World Championship over 125cc, 250cc and premier classes) in the southern Spanish city. He has already been on the podium nine times in Jerez.
“Mika Kallio, Dani Pedrosa and our whole testing program are so important and of course they have limited track time. Dani is a strong guy with a strong mentality and we’ve always said that if he wants to drive a wildcard then we’d love to make that possible. The perfect ‘test’ is always a racing situation. If we can work on future development parts, then that’s super important,” says KTM Motorsport Director Pit Beirer.
