Frenkie Schinkels recently turned 60, but that doesn’t stop the former ÖFB team player (six international matches) from chasing the ball himself.
As is now known, SC Arnsdorf has applied for a player pass for the eloquent Schinkels. In Lower Austria he could help out in the reserve of 2nd class Wachau/Donau.
Isn’t he too old for that? “If Richard Lugner can still have sex at 90, I can still play a little football at 60,” said the native Dutchman to “meinfussball.at”.
There it goes on to say that he is in talks about a coaching job with a Geibetsliga club. “If that doesn’t work out, then I would like to train and play in the reserves. I just want to have fun.”
