Wiesinger made the next running steps on the way to the Bundesliga comeback for the LASK Amateure OÖ: The 28-year-old defended in the preparatory game against the second division team Liefering (0:3) in the first half.
Wiesinger completed the first test run in the training camp against Termalica Nieciecza (1:1) and had enough strength for 30 minutes. “As long as he is not in step, we have to install a pressure valve for him. The skull smoked nicely,” said trainer Dietmar Kühbauer with a wink in the LASK podcast from Life Radio. “He’s usually a pale guy, but he’s developed a decent color after the 30 minutes.”
When Wiesinger will be fit for the Bundesliga again, Kühbauer’s assistant Manfred Nastl left open: “It will still take a while. He was gone a long time.”
Jovicic warmed up
Branko Jovicic will play with the pros much sooner. A muscle injury had slowed the Serbs down in preparation, and he too got used to the load of the match against Liefering for half a time.
