Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes say it’s important that black playmakers are the regulars in both teams for the first time in a Super Bowl.

“It’s a historic moment, we’re part of it. So many have laid the foundation before us. This will be a special moment that I hope will be immortalized,” said Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs at opening night in the Super Bowl Week. Sitting next to him, Philadelphia Eagles Hurts said, “It’s historic. It shows kids it can be done.”

The Eagles and Chiefs meet on Monday night (12:30 a.m. CET) in Super Bowl LVII. The game will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Eagles are easy favorites among bookmakers and pundits alike.
