In terms of sport, things could not go better for Eintracht Frankfurt and Oliver Glasner. Outside the field, however, Eintracht President Peter Fischer is threatened with the suspicion of illegal acquisition and possession of cocaine from the club – the OÖN reported. In the event of an indictment and conviction, a prison sentence of several years is also possible. His wife and adult son are also under investigation.

The investigation began after Fischer’s younger son allegedly used cocaine at school with a friend. Peter Fischer has been President of Eintracht since 2000 and also made a name for himself as a fighter against racism and anti-Semitism in the club. Glasner said: “One is judged very quickly. If someone is not doing so well, then you need someone who sticks by you. That’s why he has the greatest support from all of us in the club. Everything else is not our issue.” The incident had no impact on the team. Glasner: “It doesn’t affect us as long as we’re not directly confronted with it.”

Pellegrino Matarazzo is likely to be the new coach in Hoffenheim. Recently, the Austrians Adi Hütter and Ralph Hasenhüttl had also been in conversation.
