Champions League winners Real Madrid have won the Club World Cup again.
The football professionals around Toni Kroos won the final in Morocco’s capital Rabat 5: 3 (2: 1) against Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia. After goals from Vinicius Junior (13th and 69th minute), Federico Valverde (18th/58th) and star striker Karim Benzema (54th), the Spaniards celebrated their eighth Club World Cup. Moussa Marega (26′) and Luciano Vietto (64’/79′) scored for the team from Riyadh.
The European participants have been winning the Club World Championship for years. Eleven years ago, a team that didn’t come from Europe celebrated a final victory – at that time Corinthians Sao Paulo beat Chelsea 1-0.
