About the Carmelo Pittera Foundation and the PSICOM System
Since 2017, the Fundación Carmelo Pittera disseminates through lectures, trainings and books, an innovative method, called PSICOM, which reconfigures the development of motor skills in childhood, through amateur and high-performance athletes, until reaching older adults, through a battery of pedagogical didactic proposals, with a deep look at decision making, considerably expanding the possibility of cognitive development.
For years, attempts were made to work on the development of motor skills, boys and girls, and young people, in various ways, often guided by intuition. Nevertheless, all systems have done it incompletely, not being able to seriously address cognitive work.
After many years of work in various parts of the world, the Italian Professor and motor skills expert, Carmelo Pittera deepened the study of learning, and created the PSICOM learning method. The games and activities that this methodological system proposes will help those who carry it out to function better in the environment in which they live and will greatly facilitate the basic learning of the sports disciplines that they will practice in the future or that they are already practicing. The proposed focus on cognitive learning broadens the mechanical view of physical activity, involving values of knowledge and concentration that will be key when making decisions in the game, in sport and in life.
