The red-white-red duo impressed on Thursday in the race over 6 (women) and 7.5 km (men) with a strong shooting performance (six spare rounds) and only had to trail behind the Norwegian duo Marte Olsbu Röiseland and Johannes Thingnes Bö beaten by 13.8 seconds. Bronze went to Italy. For the ÖSV it was the first precious metal at the World Championships in Germany.
