The World Balloon calendar began on October 12 with the draw for the Group Phase. Argentina was paired with Algeria.
Today the Balloon World Cup will officially begin with the Group Phase and the final phase will take place on October 15.
Competition format
The format of the event will be made up of twenty-six selections arranged in eight groups of three selections each. The Group Stage matches will be on a balloon, that is, the first team to knit with the balloon will win the match. From the Final Phase, the format will change to the best of three balloons.
