EM 2021: Denmark’s Kasper Schmeichel blinded in a controversial penalty against England

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was blinded by a laser pointer in the controversial penalty for England against Denmark.

Denmark’s goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was blinded by the controversial penalty kick in the second EM semi-final, which Harry Kane used in the margin to make the decisive 2-1 after extra time for England.

Camera images clearly show how, shortly before Kane’s execution, a laser pointer is pointed at Schmeichel’s face for a few seconds. The 34-year-old Leicester City goalkeeper saved the penalty, but was powerless with the margin.
