The entity that governs South American football reported which will be the venues for the final matches of the two continental tournaments, the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudameriana.

The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) announced that the final of the Libertadores Cup 2023 will be held in the Maracana Stadiumof Rio de Janeiro Brazil. While that of the South American Cup 2023 will be on Montevideo.

“By decision of the @CONMEBOL Council, the CONMEBOL @Libertadores final will be in Rio de Janeiro at the Maracanã stadium and the CONMEBOL @Sudamericana final in Montevideo. As reported Reutersthe end of the Libertadores Cup will be played November 11th and will be based at the mythical stadium of Rio de Janeirowhile the last match of the South American Cup is scheduled for the October 28 in Montevideobut Dominguez he gave no other details.

The conmebol had several stadiums in the pipeline to host the final of the liberatorsamong them the Monumentalwhich was recently remodeled and that could play in its favor.

In any case, although the main part of the works has already been completed, and allowed the capacity to be increased to 83,196 spectators -which made it the largest on the continent-, other details are still being worked on, mainly the construction of the lower Belgrano Baja which will complete the bottom ring closest to the playing field.
