LASK has another national player: Keito Nakamura was called up by Japan’s team boss Hajime Moriyasu for the friendlies against Uruguay (March 24) and Colombia (March 28). After completing the basic round in Hartberg on Sunday, the shooting star is taking the next step in his career.

For the World Cup, where the current 20th in the world rankings failed in the round of 16 on penalties to Croatia, it wasn’t enough for Nakamura, now the 22-year-old gets his chance – and it’s worth a lot for LASK.

The market value increases through the team vocation

While sports director Radovan Vujanovic had turned down every offer for the left winger in winter, he recently hinted at a sale in the OÖN interview in the summer – if there is a fee that you can’t turn down.

Now the pain threshold is probably increasing further: Being called up for the national team increases the market value more than any Bundesliga goal. With eleven goals, he is currently the best shooter in LASK, and he gave six assists. With a total of 15 goals involved, he shares the top spot in Bundesliga scoring with Klagenfurt’s Markus Pink (15 goals).

Nakamura already knows the team boss: Moriyasu called him up for the first time in Japan’s U21 national team in 2018. Before that, the current LASK legionnaire had already represented his country in the U20 and U17.
