Walter Reusser, the previous director of alpine skiing, will in future have overall responsibility for the sporting area as “CEO Sport”. Reusser, who has held the post of Alpine Director for a good three years, will be succeeded by Hans Flatscher from Salzburg, who is the current head coach for youngsters.

The changes will take effect on May 1st. muri. Flatscher has been working for the Swiss association for 19 years. First he was the downhill coach of the men’s team for eight years, then head coach of the women’s team for six years.

He took over the task of junior manager from Beat Tschuor. In return, he continued Flatscher’s job as women’s head coach.

“I’m taking over a team at the highest level. Now it’s important to continue and develop the successful work,” said Flatscher, who married Swiss ex-world champion Sonja Nef in 2011.

In the last World Cup winter, Switzerland won the Nations Cup with 11,318 points, ahead of Austria (8729).
