Sergio Ramos fix, Achraf Hakimi fix: Now the French top club PSG is apparently working on signing United’s Paul Pogba.
The French top club Paris Saint-Germain are apparently interested in signing midfielder Paul Pogba from England’s record champions Manchester United. This is what the daily newspaper reports The Team.
According to the report, however, PSG must first create financial leeway for a transfer of the 27-year-old through player sales before an official offer can be submitted.
With the Red Devils, Pogba, who comes from Lagny-sur-Marne, a suburb of Paris, is under contract until 2022.
Accordingly, United could only achieve a transfer for the French international this year, otherwise there is a risk of a free transfer next summer.
PSG is upgrading: Three mega deals through, another probably shortly before the conclusion
Pogba would be the next mega-deal on the Paris shopping spree.
So far, the French have moved center-back Sergio Ramos (free transfer from Real Madrid, contract until 2023), full-back Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan (up to 70 million euros, 2026) and midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool FC (free transfer, 2024) on land.
Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is set to follow next. The Italian, whose contract with AC Milan had expired, is said to have already completed the medical check.
An official announcement is expected after the end of the European Championship. There, the 22-year-old and the Azzurri will face England in the final on Sunday (9 p.m. im LIVE-TICKER).
