León wins as a visitor in the pending match of the Mexico League

MEXICO CITY, March 24 (Reuters) – León took a 2-1 victory from his visit to Mazatlán on Friday in a pending match corresponding to the first day of the Clausura Mexican soccer tournament that was due to be played on January 6, but it was rescheduled due to violent events that occurred a day earlier in the northern state of Sinaloa.

The winning goals were scored by Fidel Ambriz and Brian Rubio.

In the match played at the “El Kraken” stadium in Mazatlán, Ambriz took advantage of a defensive error to steal the ball and define before the goalkeeper left after two minutes.

Mazatlán equalized after 11 minutes when Bryan Colula finished with a header in the six-yard box after Miguel Sansores’s shot hit the crossbar.

León scored the game-winner in the 80th minute through Rubio, who finished with a powerful left-footed shot inside the box after a defensive rebound.
