AC Milan are about to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
According to information from Goal and SPOX The Rossoneri are currently trying to finalize the negotiations with the Blues and make the transfer official. The French international striker wants to leave the Champions League winners Chelsea and, despite other offers, agrees to the Milan offer.
AC Milan: Giroud transfer not free transfer
Giroud’s contract was recently automatically extended for another year by option. A move by the 34-year-old would not be free of charge for Milan, as initially hoped, but would come with a transfer fee.
Giroud joined Chelsea from London city rivals Arsenal in the winter of 2018 for around 18 million. There, the 2018 world champion was mostly just a reservist despite a few decisive goals for the Blues. For a transfer Girouds to AC Milan, none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic had recently made strong.
