STORY: Thomas Tuchel showed full physical commitment in his first training session at his new club FC Bayern Munich on Tuesday. However, it is doubtful whether he was able to gain a lot of knowledge for the upcoming top Bundesliga game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday evening. A total of 13 players completed the first unit under Tuchel, including Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Sven Ulreich and Joao Cancelo, but only five professionals. The rest of the Bayern stars are still in action with the national team or are injured. Tuchel was signed on Friday as Julian Nagelsmann’s successor and signed a contract with Munich until June 30, 2025. Tuchel doesn’t have much time to get used to it. The game against his former club and current table leader Borussia Dortmund is about setting the course in the direction of the German championship. The entire squad will only be available to him in the final training session on Friday.
