Argentina’s Mía Mainardi won the gold medal in show jumping at the Junior World Championships in Turkey

The 14-year-old Argentine gymnast Mía Mainardi was crowned world junior jump champion today at the world championships in the category in Antalya, Turkey, and won a historic medal for the sport of our country.

The Buenos Aires native, born on April 17, 2008, obtained with her two jumps an average grade of 13,383 points that gave her the world title. The first was qualified with 13,633 points (the best jump in the entire final) and the second with 13,133.

The podium was completed by the Italian July Marano, with 13,266, and the French Ming van Eijken, with 13,000.

Mía Giuliana Mainardi was champion of the all-around contest at the South American Youth Games in Rosario (Argentina) 2022, as well as gold in vault and ground. This Saturday, the River Plate representative won a historic medal for Argentine gymnastics.

At the World Cup in Turkey, Mainardi was twelfth on Friday in the all-around competition and this Saturday she will compete on the uneven bars.
