Champions League participant St. Pölten kicked the women from Bundesliga club Kleinmünchen/Blau-Weiss Linz out of the soccer cup in the semifinals and made it into the final 3-1.
The Bundesliga promoted defended themselves bravely against the champions: Almedina Sisic missed the best chance for the outsiders in the first half, when she scored in the 74th minute, the game was already decided – Sisic scored the well-deserved consolation goal to make it 1:3. Claudia Wenger and Mateja Zver scored for the Lower Austrians, Rita Schumacher added the third goal.
In the final, St. Pölten meets Altach/Vorderland, who won 2-0 in Neulengbach.
