LINZ. The Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon will start on Friday, April 14, when the marathon sports fair opens its doors at 12 noon in the TipsArena. Before the marathon Sunday, thousands of runners will not only pick up their bib numbers there, but also get important tips. “Even for those interested who are not actively involved in a competition at the Linz marathon, there are good reasons to stop by,” says Anna Hollnsteiner from the marathon office.
37 exhibitors will be present in the TipsArena, in addition to running, the topics of sport and health in general will be the focus. Numerous sporting goods retailers lure visitors with special trade fair offers and the opportunity to test equipment such as shoes or special sports watches.
In addition, there will be a number of lectures and presentations on the stage on Saturday. In addition to the elite runners and pacemakers, local running greats such as marathon man Peter Herzog and Upper Austria’s hope Kevin Kamenschak will also be presented, who will be aiming for victory together in a relay on Sunday.
At the marathon fair, you can also find out about numerous other running events in Germany and abroad. The Traunsee-Half-Marathon and the Wolfgangsee-Lauf are represented with their own booths – in both popular runs, as in the Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon, the OÖNachrichten media partner sets the pace.
