At his European Championship debut, the 21-year-old from Böckingen received 14,200 points from the judges and was third. For the final battle of the top eight, he had qualified as fourth best with 14.266 points.
Luke Whitehouse from Great Britain became European Champion with 14,900 points. Silver went to defending champion Artem Dolgopyat from Israel with 14.66 points.
Seitz third on uneven bars
Defending champion Elisabeth Seitz again won a medal on the uneven bars. The 29-year-old from Stuttgart received 14,200 points for her routine and, like Hosseini before him, secured bronze on floor. For the final battle of the top eight, the German record champion qualified third with 14,400 points.
Alice D’Amato from Italy became the new European Champion with 14.466 points ahead of Britain’s Rebecca Downie (14.233).
