The UVB Vöcklamarkt wants to write again tomorrow against the WAC amateurs in the fight for relegation in the football regional league. The last win so far was a month and a half ago: On March 3rd, the Green-Yellows celebrated a 1-0 home win against Treibach.
The 1-1 draw at Weiz last week was the right direction after two defeats in a row. Vöcklamarkt coach Thomas Laganda was already able to celebrate beforehand: the 36-year-old received the B license with distinction. For the third-highest division, however, this coaching training is actually still not enough – an A license is required, for which Laganda can only register now. “We have to hope that the association will give us a little respite. But we will definitely continue to work with Thomas,” says Vöcklamarkt sports director Omer Tarabic.
In an emergency, you also have to think about a straw man solution. At Union Gurten, Tarabic’s ex-club, there was a similar case with Peter Madritsch – and it wasn’t a problem at the time either: “Peter didn’t have the necessary license at first either. But the association showed leniency. Of course I understand the requirement that the A license be obtained in the third division.”
The Hausruckviertel are also hoping for an Upper Austria duo today: Gurten (at Allerheiligen) and WSC Hertha (receives SAK) play against direct competitors.
