Copa Sudamericana: San Lorenzo suffered a painful and agonizing defeat at home

San Lorenzo could not as local before Strength of Brazil and was defeated on the hour by 2-0 in a discreet and intense match that they played tonight, at the Pedro Bidegain stadium, within the framework of the second date of Group H of the South American Cup.

Tinga, at 45 minutes into the plug-in, and Guilherme, at 47, gave the Brazilian team the victory.

With this result, Fortaleza reached 6 units and is the leader in its area, while Boedo’s team was left with three units and remains in second position.

In the first stage, it was San Lorenzo who took center stage, in which they had greater possession of the ball than the Brazilian team and more sharp attacks, led by the dizzying Nahuel Barrios.

The team led by Ruben Darío Insua, showed their credentials in the Nuevo Gasómetro and had some situations to open the scoring: the first was from Agustín Giay, who could not finish off accurately entering the area, while Malcom Braida also had his chance with a distant shot that was contained by Fernando Miguel.

For its part, Fortaleza did not start the night well, since after fifteen minutes it lost one of its scorers -Juan Lucero- and had to resort to the experienced Silvio Romero, who entered with the same tonic as his teammates and failed to disturb the serene Augustus Battle.

Already in the complement, the best was seen at the start: Bareiro was at the gates of the goal, but he failed only in the area after a brilliant clearance from Jail Elías. Later, from a past cross, Andrés Vombergar could not connect and San Lorenzo could not take advantage to open the scoring.

Meanwhile, in one of Fortaleza’s few arrivals, Romero was very close to breaking zero with ten minutes to go, but Batalla narrowed the goal well and the Argentine preferred the individual game instead of passing the ball to a buddy.

San Lorenzo had a counterattack in which “Doggy” Barrios finished off from outside the area, but Fernando Miguel contained without rebounding and lowered the blind on his goal.

However, as the match entered the epilogue, Fortaleza surprised Boedo’s team with a flurry of goals in just two minutes: Tinga, with a header, and Guilherme, with a counterattack, made it 2-0 for a vital away win .
