Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool in the Premier League and will be a Barcelona player next season, probably with world champion Lionel Messi as a teammate, the English press announced today.

In this context, the British newspaper Daily Mail pointed out that the Brazilian’s contract with Liverpool ends next June and that the striker is determined not to renew it, despite the club’s insistence.

In addition, Firmino’s fate is already closed, arriving at Barcelona free and without costing the Catalan club a peso and it only remains for the season to end for it to become effective.

The Brazilian attacker will end his brilliant eight-year stay at Anfield, where he is no longer a regular starter in the team led by the German Jurgen Klopp.

Despite this secondary role, the German coach tried to fight for him to accept the renewal, but had no luck.

Firmino has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Club World Cup since moving from Hoffenheim for €32 million in 2015.

After eight years in Liverpool, the 31-year-old Brazilian has decided to head to La Liga and will fight with Robert Lewandowski for a position in the attack front of “Barsa” with the great chance to play none other than Messi, who is very close to leaving the French PSG to return to Spain.
