Ciudad Vóley became champion of the Argentine Volleyball League (LVA) for the first time, after last night sentencing as a visitor the final series with UPCN de San Juan, their executioner in the definition of the two previous seasons.

The club from Buenos Aires, led by Facundo Conte, prevailed in the third game 3-1, with partial scores of 29-27, 27-25, 23-25, 25-22, and placed the overall score in a decisive 3-0 in his favor.
Conte, 33, Pan American champion in Toronto 2015 and bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, celebrated his first national volleyball title.
“I came to Ciudad to fulfill a dream and I am very happy to be able to achieve it. Being champion of the League for the first time is incredible,” said the top receiver of the Argentine team, who was champion in Italy, China, Brazil and Poland.
Ciudad is the eleventh champion of the men’s Argentine League after UPCN (9 crowns), Bolívar Vóley (8), Club de Amigos, Social Monteros, Rojas Scholem, Azul Vóley, Náutico Hacoaj, River Plate, Luz y Fuerza and Peñarol.
