In the second competition of the day corresponding to the third date of the TC2000 season, Leonel Pernia surpassed Montenegro and took the win.
“We had an impeccable weekend with a tremendous car. For us it is important to win at Cabalén, because all the teams tested here. And in the first race it was also very good, with second place, and scoring big points, with a Very nice maneuver against Aldrighetti”Pernía expressed after his victory was finalized.
He was escorted by Santero and Montenegro, while Vivian, Facundo Ardusso (Honda), Mariano Pernía, Llaver, Marques, Aldrighetti and Fabricio Persia closed the top 10.
“We missed the strategy in the second race. Then I tried to recover, but I went to the limit, I tried with Santero, but it didn’t happen. The first race was the one I enjoyed the most. In TC2000 a lot of load is lost, but I had a great advance from behind. When I overtook Vivian, I noticed that I could win. Now I’m going to look for the final as well,” Montenegro said.
In the championship, Pernía leads the standings with 117 points, followed by Montenegro with 62 and Santero with 57, while the next date will take place on May 14.
