ATP World Ranking: Schwartzman was left out of the Top 50

The tennis player from Buenos Aires continues in free fall both in his performance and in his position in the world ranking, confirming that it is the worst year of his career so far.

The Argentinian diego schwartzman dropped out of the Top 50 tennis world ranking for the first time in six years by going back 24 places this Monday and being in 72nd place.

He “little” resigned 160 points from its participation in the Barcelona ATP 2022 and was left with its worst ranking since October 24, 2016 when he jumped from the 77th to the 54th step.

He is currently the fifth Argentine tennis player in the ranking after Francisco Cerúndolo (30°, +2), Sebastián Báez (31°, -1), Tomás Etcheverry (59°) and Pedro Cachín (67th, +2). Behind the former top ten stands Federico Coria (78th, -2).

The top ten positions this week are as follows: 1) Novak Djokovic (Serbian); 2) Carlos Alcaraz (Spain); 3) Daniel Medvedev (Russia, +1); 4) Casper Ruud (Norway, -1); 5) Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece); 6) Andrei Rublev (Russia); 7) Holger Rune (Denmark); 8) Jannik Sinner (Italy); 9) Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada) and 10) Taylor Fritz (USA).
