Hundreds of thousands celebrated in the streets of Naples. Shots were fired in the Piazza Volturno near the main train station. It was initially unclear whether the 26-year-old man was shot in a targeted manner or whether someone accidentally hit him. Three other people came to the hospital with gunshot wounds, according to initial findings, they were involved in the same incident. When the man’s death became known, relatives and friends stormed into the hospital and demolished parts of the emergency room, according to the media.

Many people injured their hands from pyrotechnics, and a number of stab wounds were also recorded. Eye and face injuries from firecracker explosions and smoke inhalation were also reported. This was reported by the “Gazzetta”, citing the Naples health authority.

In Udine, the local prefect reported eight supporters who needed medical treatment. Immediately after the final whistle, Napoli fans stormed the pitch to celebrate with the pros. Shortly thereafter, supporters of Udine also ran onto the pitch and partly hunted down the guest Tifosi. Video images show fans beating each other with belts and sticks, among other things, before the police intervened.
