Messi beat Mbappé and was chosen as the Best Athlete of 2023

The Argentine was recognized this Monday as the Best Male Athlete of 2023 and became the first footballer to win this award twice.

Lionel Messi once again was chosen as the best in the world. In this case, it was at the Laureus awards where he was distinguished as the Best Male Athlete of 2023 and became the first footballer in history to achieve this recognition twice. In 2020, he had shared it with the British driver Lewis Hamilton.
