In the search for reinforcements for the offensive, Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg are said to be interested in signing national soccer player Kevin Volland.

As the “Braunschweiger Zeitung” reports, the Lower Saxony are primarily looking for professionals with a lot of experience this summer. What also speaks for Volland: The 30-year-old has already played successfully at his current club AS Monaco under VfL trainer Niko Kovac.

This season, things haven’t been going so well for Volland in the Principality of France’s Ligue 1. However, Volland’s contract runs until the summer of 2024. The striker recently said in an interview with “ran.de” that he would like to return home in the future: “My family and I are definitely drawn back to Germany home, we want to live in the Allgäu again after our career.”

Robin Gosens should also continue to be a preferred candidate for Wolfsburg. However, the national player is still under contract with Champions League semi-finalists Inter Milan until 2026. Financially, however, the deal is difficult for VfL to handle, writes the “Braunschweiger Zeitung”.
