Cestoball is a discipline that was founded in the Argentinamore precisely in the city of Buenos Aires, at the beginning of the 20th century, by Professor Enrique Romero Brest.
In those years, secondary school students began to practice this sport within the subject ‘Physical Education’ which -until then- basically consisted of military gymnastics exercises.
The sport took by name “ball to the basket” until it changed its name in 1986 “with the aim of beginning its international expansion”, according to the Argentine Cestoball Confederation.
