Holger Badstuber apparently before moving to FC Luzern

Holger Badstuber last played for the second team of VfB Stuttgart. Now the ex-international is likely to be hired by FC Luzern in Switzerland.

Holger Badstuber, who is currently without a club, confirmed on Twitter on Sunday that he will continue his career abroad in the coming season. According to picture the former German international should be drawn to the Swiss first division club FC Luzern

“The decision has been made. I took on a new challenge abroad. This ends an emotional chapter for me. Thank you Bundesliga, thank you fans. It was an honor for me,” wrote Badstuber.

Badstuber is supposed to sign a one-year contract with the Swiss and meets his former VfB colleague Christian Gentner, who recently moved from Union Berlin to Lucerne.

Badstuber was under contract with VfB Stuttgart until the end of the season, with the 32-year-old only surfing for the second team in the Regionalliga Südwest.
