Brazil will play a friendly against Spain in March 2024 as part of a campaign against racism under the slogan ‘One skin’both soccer federations announced on Monday.

A statement from the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) points out that the match will be played in Spain for “to reinforce the commitment of both entities against violence in football and to intensify the good relations that already exist”.

The president of the RFEF, Luis Rubialeshas led the “Racists, get out of football” campaign to eradicate discriminatory and xenophobic behavior in stadiums, after the Real Madrid striker Vinicius Jr. suffered racist insults during a La Liga match at Valencia’s Mestalla Stadium on May 21.

The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), ednaldo rodriguesadded: “This action, in collaboration with my friend Luis Rubiales, will be important to further reinforce the need to fight vehemently against racism, in all corners of the planet”.

Brazil and Spain they will meet for the tenth time, with five victories for the South Americans, two for the Europeans and two draws. Their last meeting was in the 2013 Confederations Cup final, when Brazil beat the then world champions 3-0.

The CBF announced that Brazil will play friendlies against Guinea on June 17 and against Senegal three days later, also as part of a campaign against racism.
