One in particular, which included a winning big willy, harkened back to an almost identical play in the 2006 semi-final between david nalbandian and Roger Federer who stayed on the side of the legendary Swiss.

Djokovic (3rd) prevailed this Friday 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 and 6-1 against Alcaraz (1st) and reached the final of Roland Garros, his thirty-fourth Grand Slam definition, thus seeking his twentieth third great title, which if achieved will be the record.

In the third set everything happened: Djokovic won the second game and made it all 1-1, but at that last point Alcaraz got a cramp, for which he needed medical attention. Being treated for cramps, he was punished with a game penalty: without playing, that game was won by Nole and it was 2-1.

Cramps are not considered an injury, but rather a lack of physical condition, which is why a tennis player cannot request a medical timeout. Upon request, the penalty meant the break in favor of Djokovic.

Alcaraz continued with the muscular discomfort in his right leg that did not allow him to play normally and Djokovic broke twice more: he won the third set 6-1. The same in the fourth and last, that he repeated the 6-1.
