The Paraguayan newspaper Ultima hora reported today that this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. will be the last game for López, former striker for Vélez, Estudiantes and Banfield, as manager of Guaraní playing against General Caballero for the Apertura tournament.

On Wednesday Pumpido will take over as the new coach of Guaraní after the great campaign carried out with Sportivo Ameliano in 2022 where he obtained permanence and became champion of the Paraguay Cup.
Guaraní will be the third team led by Juan Pablo Pumpido in Paraguayan soccer since the first club to have had the services of the Argentine professional was Sol de América.
Pumpido will have his official debut on June 28 against Huracán, playing at home, looking to qualify for the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana.
In Guaraní, fifth in the Apertura with 32 units to 19 behind the Libertad champion, the Argentines Gastón Gil Romero, Luis Fariña and Rubén Darío Ríos play.
