The Argentine Under-20 rugby team, Los Pumitas, will travel tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. to Johannesburg to participate in the Youth World Cup in South Africa, to be played in that country between June 24 and July 14.
The Pumitas will put an end to the period of concentration and fine-tuning that they carried out at the Casa Pumas facilities, located in the Buenos Aires town of Ingeniero Maschwitz, where they had been since last Wednesday.
The World Cup in South Africa will be divided into three zones of four selected each; zone A will be made up of Wales, France, New Zealand and Japan, zone B will be made up of England, Fiji, Australia and Ireland.
While those selected from South Africa, Argentina, Italy and Georgia are part of zone C.
Los Pumitas’ debut will be next Saturday June 24 against Italy, a match that will be held at 6 p.m. (Argentine time) at the Paarl Gymnasium, in the city of Paarl.
Likewise, five days later, the Argentine team will face Georgia starting at 11:30 at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch, and they will finish their participation in the qualifying stage on Tuesday, July 4, against South Africa, starting at 2:00 p.m. at Boland Stadium, in Wellington, Western Cape,
The semifinals of the M20 Youth World Cup in South Africa are scheduled for July 9 and the final will take place on Friday, July 14.
The French national team won the last two editions of the Youth World Cup, in 2018 they defeated England 33-25 at home.
A year later, the “Le Blue” team won the two-time championship by beating Australia 24-23, a contest held in our country.

The coach of Los Pumitas, Alvaro Galindo, pointed out on the official website of the UAR that “the team is very united and we hope to reach the World Cup in South Africa in the best possible way.
For his part, the player from Los Tilos de La Plata, Eliseo Chiavassa, stated that “we are very well focused and the objective is to be able to become champions, we have a very united group with players of great quality of play.”
