The German KTM rider prevailed yesterday in the notorious Hare Scramble in Styria in 2:31:15 hours, about ten minutes ahead of Brit Billy Bolt (Husqvarna). Austria’s hottest iron, Salzburg’s Michael Walkner, landed in seventh place among just 17 finishers.
Walkner, who drives for GasGas, finished sixth in Lettenbichler’s first prank last year. In 2015, Lettenbichler’s father Andreas won the world’s toughest extreme enduro race.
