According to media reports, the Italian first division soccer team FC Bologna is determined not to let ÖFB striker Marko Arnautovic go. Club boss Joe Saputo and Bologna management decided that Arnautovic was an essential player.
An offer from AC Milan for the 34-year-old is said to have been rejected, the sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Thursday. Arnautovic’s contract with Bologna runs for two more years.
Sports gazettes recently reported deep differences between Arnautovic and his coach Thiago Motta. The Viennese’s time at Bologna was considered over. However, Bologna’s club boss Saputo sees the situation differently and put pressure on Arnautovic to stay.
“Everything is fine with Bologna, my contract runs for two more years, after that we’ll see. Everything is fine in the relationship with the coach, too,” Arnautovic was quoted as saying by Gazzetta. The attacker moved to Italy from China in the summer of 2021.
