The members who deepened the work in this matter expressed and argued the importance of preparing a Protocol as a tool and regulatory framework to be guarantors as an institution of the rights of all the people who inhabit our Club, focusing on the importance of the prevention and eradication of gender violence.
The Institutional Protocol of Action for the Prevention and Intervention in Situations of Violence and/or Discrimination due to Gender Issues and/or Sexual Orientation of Club Atlético Lanús was approved in July 2020, giving rise to the creation of the Gender Department and Diversity. And its goal is:
– “Guarantee at Club Atlético Lanús an environment free of discrimination of any type of harassment or violence for reasons of sexual identity, gender, class, ethnicity, nationality or religion; promoting conditions of equality and equity.
– Establish the institutional procedure and the guiding principles to prevent, address and intervene in situations of violence and/or discrimination against women and people from the LGTTTBI+ collective in the field of Club Atlético Lanús.
– Promote awareness and dissemination actions on the problem. Promote actions that eliminate gender violence, sexual harassment and discrimination in all its expressions.
– Generate an environment of support and trust so that affected people can report their situation in order to stop it immediately. Make available to affected people the guidance and assistance they may require.
