The hopes of the SV Ried fans that goalkeeper Samuel Sahin-Radlinger will join the second division will not be fulfilled. The 30-year-old will not sign a new contract. This was confirmed by Wolfgang Fiala, sports director of SV Ried, to the OÖN on Friday evening. It is not yet known where the journey will go after 93 competitive games for the Innviertler. Among other things, Sahin-Radlinger was associated with Austria Vienna. In mid-April, before the home game against WSG Tirol, the club announced that Sahin-Radlinger had extended his contract. It was agreed not to disclose the specific modalities at the time. For insiders, however, it was clear that the contract was only valid for the Bundesliga. You can read an interview with Sahin-Radlinger in OÖN next week.
So the chances for Jonas Wendlinger are good “Einser-Leiberl” good. What is certain, however, is that a goalkeeper with experience will be signed, who should also be given the opportunity to play in the limelight in preparation.
Mikic goes to South Korea
Leo Mikic is also leaving SV Ried after two years (66 competitive games, ten goals). The 26-year-old, who still had a contract with Ried until 2024, is moving to South Korea’s second division Jeonnam Dragons FC. Rieder will receive a transfer fee for Mikic. If he changes from his new club to a cooperation club in the first division, another sum has to be transferred to the Innviertel. As previously reported, Tin Plavotic is moving to Austria Wien. The transfer fee should be around 120,000-150,000 euros.
