Monroy, winner of this contest in the 2007 season, made four birdies in his last four holes and designed a round of 66 shots (-7) for the third round.

In this way, the 39-year-old golfer from Tucumán has 202 hits (-17), leading Emilio Domínguez by two (-15), who today finished with a round of 70.
Andrés ‘Pigu’ Romero and Nelson Ledesma, also from Tucumán, share third place, with 205 hits (-14).
Meanwhile, Ignacio Marino (66) from Rio Cuarto, Leandro Marelli (67) from Casilda and Augusto Núñez (70) from Tucumán have accumulated 206 hits (-13), so they are still in the race to win the title at Termas de Rio Hondo Golf Club.
“There is still one round to go and there are a lot of good players very close,” said Monroy, whose best results this season are two fifth-place finishes at the Abierto del Sur and at the Abierto Norpatagonico.
