The club presented Scolari this Friday on its social networks as “one of the most victorious coaches in the history of football.” Hours before that announcement, the “friendly termination” of the contract with Coudet had been confirmed.

Although Scolari had communicated in November of last year that he was not going to lead anymore after an extensive career that led him to win the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan with Brazil, among many other titles at club level.
At 74 years old, Scolari will once again take over the reins of a club and after almost a year without directing (in 2022 he was at Athletico Paranaense), the technical director decided to take up the challenge.
Scolari signed a contract until December 2024 and will direct the Hulk, whom he already knows and had in the Brazil National Team at the 2014 World Cup.
